Applications
1. PLDD
Percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) is a type of surgery in which a laser probe is inserted into the intervertebral disc space and laser energy applied for achieving decompression and neuromodulation thereby relieving the pain.
2. ENT
ENT laser surgery procedures for incision, excision, ablation, vaporization, and photocoagulation of soft tissue for treatment of: Benign cycts, nodules and polyps on vocal cords, Vocal cords paralysis and motion disorders, recurrent papillomatosis, Subglottic and Tracheal stenosis, Leukoplakia, benign and malignant lesions, Tonsillectomy
Middle Ear Surgery: stapedotomies and myringotomies
Superficial lesions of the ear
3. Liposuction
The laser liposuction technique uses lasers to liquefy fat before its removal from the body, the smaller areas of the melted fat can be removed by means of extrusion or syringe suction, the large amount of liquefied fat needs to be extracted by a laser probe, which both reducing the need for harsh suction.
4. Varicose veins
Lasers and other light based technologies will achieve accurate damage to the endothelium, which would help making the diseased vessels closed and fibrotic with minimal damage to adjacent structures and complete an effective treatment of leg veins and vascular lesions. The absorption of water for 1470nm is far superior to the traditional 980nm.
