The drawback to having a non-17-alpha-alkylated oral compound is that the efficacy of the drug is reduced thereby requiring larger doses. Daily dosing of this compound is necessary due to a short half-life and dosages of 100 mgs for men and 25 mgs for women are common. Even though methenolone acetate is known to be a mild compound, at these doses, users should expect HPTA suppression.
