Biochemical
Description
Spectinomycin is in aminocyclitol class, closely related to the aminoglycosides, produced by the
bacterium Streptomyces spectabilis. Spectinomycin is produced in nature by many organisms including
cyanobacteria and various plant species. Spectinomycin is mainly produced by organisms as a defence
mechanism against predators. It prevents synthesis of bacterial cell wall and protein has a strong
antibacterial activity. The Spectinomycin ELISA kits utilizing the latest biotechnology development has
easy, rapid, and sensitive advantages.
This kit uses indirect-competition method mainly based on the immunological reaction between specific
antigen and antibody. Spectinomycin specific antigen coated on microtiter plates competes binding sites
of enzyme-labeled Spectinomycin specific antibody with added calibrator (or sample). With TMB
chromogenic substrate, the absorbance value was negatively correlated with residues of Spectinomycin.
Under the calibration curve, Spectinomycin content of the sample can be quantified multiplied by the
corresponding compare dilution.
Detectable samples
Spectinomycin residue can be quantitative of tissue and honey.
Specificity
