Nitroimidazole ELISA Diagnostic Kit
Nitroimidazole is an antibacterial agent for the treatment and prevention of trichomoniasis, amoeba
and anaerobic infections. Because of being carcinogenic, many countries prohibit it for breeding
livestock, poultry and aquatic products. It is prohibited to use as animal growth-promoting agents.

This kit uses indirect-competition method mainly based on the immunological reaction between
specific antigen and antibody. Nitroimidazole specific antigen coated on microtiter plates competes
binding sites of enzyme-labeled Nitroimidazole specific antibody with added calibrator (or sample).
With TMB chromogenic substrate, the absorbance value was negatively correlated with residues of
Nitroimidazole. Under the calibration curve, Nitroimidazole content of the sample can be quantified
multiplied by the corresponding compare dilution.
