l,YZ series is the newly designed electric motor with the characteristic of large overload capacity and high mechanical strength, enough for driving all sorts of metallurgical machinery and hoisting machine or the other similar equipments.YZR series motors are wound rotors type,while YZseries motors are squirrelcage type. 380V, 50Hz, AC, 3-phase Basic Duty: S3-40% Insulation Class: F, H Frame size: 112mm-280mm
2,The motors will operate normally under the following conditions:
(1) temperature of coolant not exceeding 40℃(for crane uses) or 60℃(for metallurgical uses).
(2) Altitude form sea-level not exceeding 1000m.
(3) Frequent and significant mechanical vibration and shocks.
(4) Frequent starting ,braking(electrical or mechanical) or reversing.
3. The rated frequency of the motor is 50Hz and rated voltage is 380V.
4. Connection : for motors with power of 132KW or below, Y type connection;T others: △ tye connection. Motors using Y connection can also add zero wire.

There are eight type of duty type for these series motors ,S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, and S9, The basic duty type is S3—40%, Cduty type is S3 cyclic duration factor is 40%, each cycle is (10min), The following duty types are most useful for these series motors.

1. Short times duty type (S2)
Operation of constlant load dring a given time, less than that required to reach themal equilibrium followed by a rest and de-energized period of sufticent duration to re-establish machine temperature withir 2 deg K of the coolant (sec figl).

2. Intermittent periodic duty type (S3)
A sequerce of identical duty cycles, each including a period of operation at constant oad and a rest and de-energized period (see fig2) but the operation period are so short that it is not sufficinet for the machine to reach themnl equilibriun in this duty type, the cycle is such that the starting current does not significanten affect the temprature rise.

3.Intermittent periodic duty type with starting (S4)
A sequence of identicae duty cycles, each including a sisnificnnt period of starting, a period of oreration of constant load and a rest and de-energized period (see fig3), but the operation periodsare so short that it is not sufficient for the machine to reach thermal equilibrium.

4. Intermittent period duty type with electric braking (S5)
A sequence of identica duty cycles, each consisting of a period of starting a period of operation at constant coad and a rest and de –energized period, but the opertion period are so short that it is not sufficient for the machine to reach thermal equilibrium (see fig4), but the operation periodsare so short that it is not sufficient for the machine to reach thermal equilibrium.
# # Application
The ranges of applications
This series of motors are specially designed for service on cranes and hoists. They can also be used for similar applications such as material handling, weirs and sluices, and lifts of all types. These motors can serve as auxiliary motors in rolling mills or wherever intermittent drives are required.
YZ Series 3-phase Asynchronous Motor for Metallurgy and Crane Applications is for the various types of metallurgy and crane applications. The motor is approved to be capable for the large overload, be durable and has high mechanical strength. It is the basic model.The motor has been awarded an approved patent from the National Patent Bureau with number of ZL 200820057339.5.Above series motor is available in the direct connection between the motor and the gearbox. Please refer to tables below for details.The motor can be customized designed and produced to meet your request.

The clegree of protection of enclosure of metallurgical motors is IP54 and that of crane motors is IP44.
