Description

Switchgear is mainly used to control and protect electric equipment in electric power system electricity generation, transmission, distribution and electrical energy conversion process. The units in a switchgear include circuit breaker, disconnecting switch, load break switch, operating mechanism, mutual inductor and various protective devices. Switchgears are mainly used for power plants, transformer substations, petrochemical engineering, metallurgical rolling, light & textile industry, industrial and mining establishments, residential districts, high-rise buildings and other places. Switchgears can be divided into three kinds according to insulation type: gas insulated switchgear, solid insulated switchgear and SF6 insulated switchgear.
