Description:
Cefalotin is also known as cephalothin sodium.Cefalotin or cephalothin is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic.It was the first cephalosporin marketed (1964) and continues to be widely used. It is an intravenously administered agent with a similar antimicrobial spectrum to cefazolin and the oral agent cefalexin.
Indications and Usage:
Using this drug alone is eligible for the treatment of such infections caused by the sensitive organism as: Upper and lower respiratory tract infection, upper and lower urinary tract infection, peritonitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, cholangeitis and other intra-abdominal infection,hematosepsis, meningitis, cutaneous and soft tissue infection, bone marrow and joint infection, pelvic inflammation, endometritis, gonorrhea and other genital tract infections. Drug combination: When it is taken together with amino glycoside antibiotic, should monitoring the patient& acute;s renal function.
