Metolachlor
Description
Metolachlor is a premergence and preplant incorporated herbicide, which controls effectively annual grassy and some broad-leaved weeds. It is commonly used in many crops, such as, maize, soybean, oil reap, cotton, sorghum etc. The mode of action is to inhibit the synthesis of protein in way to cause death. thus, high-protein crops (e.g., soy) can be adversely affected by excessive metolachlor application.
