YMK soldering iron is much difference from other Constant soldering iron, YMK soldering iron is through electronic display board to control the heating cord to work, so as to achieve the temperature control. Heating core temperature sensors to detect the inside temperature signal into electrical signal, and transferred to the inside of the electronic display board microcomputer chip (MCU), through the analysis of the microcomputer chip processing, the final output control signal to control output or close heating core working power supply, so as to achieve the practical work of soldering iron temperature control.

Tip replacement:
?
Unscrew the nut in the middle part of YMK Soldering Iron, and then remove the steel pipe away, tip is plug in at the top of the heating core. Now, just take out the tip which you want to replace to, and change to the one you want to replace in, next, take back the steel pipe and push the steel tube into the nut and tighten the nut as well, that completed the tip replacement.

Soldering Iron Used Attention Points
?
1. Don’t rap, remove and install the electric parts when the soldering iron in power.
2. Soldering iron should be kept dry, don’t use in too humid environment or in the rain;
3. Cut off power before you change the tip.
4. After using the soldering iron, make a layer of tin at soldering iron tip in order to protect tip well.
5. Use emery cloth to clean out the black oxidation layer at tip, and then turn on the Soldering Station and make some tin at tip.
6. Sponge is used to solder splash and tin ball, Squeeze the sponge water before using.

Soldering Iron Temperature Setting:
SI-75W soldering iron is match with M-75D Soldering Station, so, just directly set the temperature control knob of M-75D?Soldering Station?to the desired temperature, and the?display screen is?showed the setting temperature, after finishing the settings, it will show the setting?temperature in 3 seconds. The display screen will recover the actual temperature of?Soldering Tip. Suggested usage temperature range is?350~420℃.

Tip Temperature Calibrating
The soldering tip should be re-calibrated the temperature after changing the Tips or replacing the Heating Core
and Soldering Iron. Please use Dedicated Iron Temperature Tester like 191/192 thermometer to adjust it.
1) Set the temperature of Soldering Station to 350℃.
2) Use a straightedge (-) screwdriver or small plus (+) screwdriver to adjust the Trimmer Resistor which marked
“CAL” keyhole in trimmer panel.
3) Turn the screw clockwise to increase the temperature and counterclockwise to reduce the temperature.
4) Keeping to adjust the trimmer resistor until the Station’s temperature is match with the temperature of Iron
Temperature Tester showing, +/-5℃ is ok!
5) This Calibrating must operated by specialized person.

Disassemble the soldering iron:
1)Turn off main station and unplug from power source.
2) Unscrew nuts to counter clockwise direction.
3) Take out the sheath and the tip.
4) Wear the protective gloves to pull out the heating element via the wire cord from the soldering iron.( tip’s
direction) ( No metal tool for this step, like pliers.)

Soldering Iron?Troubleshooting Guide

Pull out the soldering rion?plug, test the?resistance value between the hole and hole , the details as below:
?
Condition 1 : ?the resistance value not match Value 1, it& acute;s heating core breakdown and need to replace the new one.
Condition 2 : ?the resistance value not match Value 1, it& acute;s sensor?breakdown?and need to replace the new one.
Condition 3: ? the resistance value not match Value 1, it& acute;s the connect wire with heating core wire loose or?oxidized, it need to re-connect or remove the oxide layer.

After replace the new heater or sensor , please do?need to check again the?resistance value, it& acute;s very importance!!?Complete the two?steps:
1) Measure the resistance value between 4th foot and 1st foot or 2nd foot; between 5th foot and 1st foot or 2nd foot;between 3th foot and 1st foot or 2nd foot; between 3rd foot and 4th foot or 5th foot If show Infinity, then everything?is ok ; if show un-Infinity, then it’s heater or sensor or the earth wire is short circuit, it will be damage the circuit?board and the host, you need to check them back where is made in wrong way.
2) Measure “a” “b” “c” resistance value and make sure the pin connection is normal, and the earth wire connect?safety.

Soldering iron wire breakage repairing:
?
1) Turn on the power of station and set the temperature in max value, shaking or winding the different parts of the?soldering iron wire, if find the screen dot show shine, then it need to replace the wire.
Attention: need to distinguish the shine, shine by reach the set temperature or bolt shiny.
2) Check the resistance value between the iron plug feet and terminal circuit. Feet 1: orange; feet 2: red;
feet 3: green; feet 4: blue; feet 5: black.
The value should < 1Ω, if > 1Ωor ∞, it need to replace the wire.
