There are mainly two parts in flange forging, one is open die forging, the other is die forging. The two parts have different supposes. During open die forging, the shapes of the dies are forged from semi-finished products step by step through basic deform processes.? The die forging processes include material choice, heat, pre-forging, finish-forging, wad punching, side cutting, tempering, and shot blasting. Usual processes include upsetting, drawing out, bending, punching and shaping.

The flange is a kind of accessories used to link various tubes. There are two kinds of flanges, forging flanges and casting flanges. Compared with casting flange, the forging flanges contain fewer carbon, less easily to get rust. Talking to both linear function and mechanical function, forging flange is better than casting flange.
