Power Supplies
Description
Technically this is harder to do than simply converting a voltage - I think you& acute;d need to convert to DC and then through a 50Hz alternator back to AC (at the same time you can step up to 220V/240V 50Hz). Moreover you need to draw a fair bit of current for a static frequency converter so this is going to have to be a pretty hefty device. Even if these frequency converters exist, I& acute;d be 90% sure it& acute;s cheaper to buy a new washing machine. The only other option would be to talk to GoHz - if they have US models also they might be able to exchange the power supply and controller unit for you. But again, including labor I wouldn& acute;t expect this to be any cheaper than buying a new one.
There are some cheaper static frequency converter available on GoHz, it& acute;s something that potentially gets plugged in and left running, and a fault might cause a fire. Also the cheaper static 50Hz to 60Hz frequency converter (autotransformers) are & quot;non-isolated& quot; and these are more dangerous than a proper dual-winding isolated transformer.
